ABOUT ADDERLEY
Broadway actress Janet Adderley who made her debut in the hit Andrew Lloyd Webber musical “Starlight Express” created the Adderley School for the Performing Arts. Ms. Adderley is a Yale University graduate, a mother of two and has appeared in several television series as well as toured nationally playing leading roles in numerous regional theatre productions throughout the United States. Janet was hired by Disney to coach Alicia Morton in her starring role as “Annie” for ABC. The film, which also starred Kathy Bates and Victor Garber, earned eight Emmy nominations and is the highest ranking special event movie in the history of ABC television. Ms. Adderley was also the on set acting coach for the Cheetah Girls in their premiere movie.
Due to the outstanding training children receive at The Adderley School students have gone on to perform on Broadway and television with such celebrities as John Lithgow, Dustin Hoffman, Luther Vandross, David Foster, Beyonce Knowles and Josh Grobin. Most recently four Adderley students made their debut playing Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus and Sally in “It's Christmas Snoopy, On Ice”, a first in Santa Barbara.
The Adderley School most recently expanded adding another studio in Santa Barbara. The Adderley School is the only institute of its kind. In one of the most nurturing environments around, students of all ages gain poise and self confidence, a solid background in singing, acting, dance, and foster a deep love for our rich American Broadway musical heritage and they do all of this in the only school in Pacific Palisades and Santa Barbara run by an actual Broadway veteran! It is testament to The Adderley School's fine staff that students return semester after semester and continue to bring more and more friends each time they enroll!
